Terms of Service

Welcome to Milestone Passport. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Milestone Passport governing your use of the Milestone Passport mobile application and any related services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account, starting a free trial or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Milestone Passport lets you keep a digital record of your travels: a scratch-off world map, a digital passport you stamp yourself, trip albums with photos, videos and notes, generated travel books, and a travel bucketlist. The Service is a personal memory-keeping tool. It is not an official travel document, does not verify your travel history, and must never be presented as identification or proof of travel to any authority.

2. Your account

You can explore the Service during the free trial without an account, in which case your content is stored only on your device. To sync across devices, export your work or keep it beyond a reinstall, you need an account with a username, an email address you control, and a password. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old (or the higher minimum age required in your country) to create an account.

3. Subscriptions, free trial and billing

Milestone Passport EXPLORER is offered as an auto-renewing subscription: $1.99 per month or $17.99 per year, each beginning with a 7-day free trial. Prices in your local currency are shown at purchase and may vary. Payment is collected by Apple's App Store or Google Play, not by us.

Be aware: when your 7-day trial ends, your store account is charged automatically for the plan you selected, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. You can cancel anytime in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings; access continues until the end of the paid period. Purchases can be restored on a new device with "Restore purchases". Refunds are handled by the stores under their policies.

If your subscription lapses, the Service enters a read-only mode: everything you made remains visible and exportable, but adding new stamps, memories and map entries requires an active subscription.

4. Your content

The photos, videos, notes, stamps, maps and books you create are yours. We claim no ownership. You grant Milestone Passport a limited, revocable licence to store, process and display your content solely to operate the Service for you — for example rendering your map, binding your travel books, or generating a share card when you ask for one. We never publish your content; sharing happens only when you export or share it yourself.

5. Acceptable use

Do not upload content you have no right to use, or content that is unlawful, hateful, or harms others. Do not attempt to probe, overload, reverse-engineer or disrupt the Service, or use the Service to infringe anyone's rights. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

6. Account deletion

You can delete your account at any time in Profile → Delete account. Deletion deactivates your account immediately and permanently erases your account and content within 30 days; signing back in during those 30 days restores it. Deleting your account does not cancel an active store subscription — cancel it in your App Store or Google Play settings, or it will keep renewing.

7. Warranties and liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that content will never be lost — please keep copies of irreplaceable photos and videos. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms or the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Milestone Passport from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or connected to: (a) content you upload or share through the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any law or of any third party's rights, including intellectual-property and privacy rights. This obligation survives termination of your account.

9. Governing law and disputes

These Terms, and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or the Service, are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. You and Milestone Passport agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Delaware, and each party waives any objection to venue there. Either party may instead bring an individual claim in small-claims court where permitted. If you use the Service as a consumer in a jurisdiction whose law grants you mandatory rights or a mandatory forum, nothing in this section takes those away.

10. Severability and entire agreement

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions stay in full force. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Milestone Passport regarding the Service, and supersede any prior agreements. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.

11. Changes and termination

We may update the Service and these Terms as the product evolves. If a change meaningfully affects your rights, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect; continuing to use Milestone Passport after that date means you accept the updated Terms. We may terminate or suspend the Service for breach of these Terms, and you may stop using it at any time.
