Privacy Policy
1. What we collect
Account details: username, email address and a hashed password. Travel data you create: the countries, regions and cities you mark as been-there, want-to-go or lived-in; your passport stamps and their dates, colours and positions; your trips with sections, dates, to-dos, addresses and notes; your bucketlist items; your pinned cities and places; your chosen theme and travel character. Photos you attach to to-dos, notes and covers. Basic technical data needed to run the app: device type, app version and crash reports.
2. What we do not collect
We do not collect your background location — nothing in TravelKit tracks where you are. We do not read your photo library; only the images you explicitly pick are used. We do not receive your payment card details: billing runs entirely through Apple or Google, and we only learn whether your subscription is active.
3. How we use it
To draw your map and count your progress, build and stamp your passport, keep your trips and bucketlist in order, sync your work between your devices, serve My TravelKit Page if you publish one, and send transactional email such as address verification and account notices. We use aggregate, non-identifying counts to understand which features are used. Bucketlist suggestions are generated on your device from a bundled list — your dreams are not sent anywhere to produce them.
4. What we never do
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We do not show advertising and we do not run advertising trackers. We do not share your travels, your memories or your comments with anyone — unless you publish My TravelKit Page or accept a friend request, in which case you decide what is visible.
5. Guest mode and sync
Before you create an account everything you make lives only on your device and is never uploaded. Creating an account uploads your existing data so it can sync; deleting your account removes the uploaded copy.
6. My TravelKit Page and comments
A published TravelKit Page is public to anyone with the link and contains only the sections you selected, as of the snapshot you published. Visitors may leave a display name with a reaction or comment; that name and text are stored with your page and are visible to other visitors. You can unpublish the page, or hide and delete individual comments, at any time.
7. Storage, security and retention
Your content is encrypted in transit and at rest. Synced data is stored on servers in the European Union and the United States with industry-standard safeguards; data created before you signed up stays on your device until you sign up. We keep your data for as long as your account exists, and delete it when you delete your account. Backups are purged on a rolling schedule shortly afterwards.
8. Service providers
We use a small number of processors to run TravelKit: cloud hosting and database storage, transactional email delivery, subscription management through Apple and Google, and crash reporting. They act on our instructions, may only process what is needed for their task, and may not use your data for their own purposes.
9. Your rights and controls
You can export your passport at any time from Profile → Export, correct your username and email in Profile → Account, and delete your account and all associated data in one step from Profile. Depending on where you live you may also have the right to access, port, restrict or object to processing, and to complain to your local data protection authority. Ask us and we will help.
10. Children
TravelKit is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes and contact
If this policy changes in a way that affects you, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. For any privacy question, or to exercise a right above, write to us from Profile → Feature request or email devtee000@gmail.com.
